DESCRIPTION:“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear. The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid”\nPsalm 27:1 ESV\n\nAs we begin a new year\, it seems like a perfect time to take a day to lock eyes with God and to hear His voice. \n“…for it is in the silence of the heart that God speaks. God is the friend of silence – we need to listen to God because it’s not what we say but what He says to us and through us that matters….” Mother Teresa \nSpending an extended time abiding in our Lord’s presence enables us to hear the still\, quiet voice of God. When we are intentional about setting this time aside\, we gain wisdom and experience refreshment\, grace\, and release from burdens that we are carrying. And we emerge with a renewed sense of peace and joy that comes from experiencing a sense of togetherness with God. \nThere is never a “convenient” time to be with the Lord. It takes discipline and courage to carve this time out. Block February 29th in your calendar and register now for this virtual Silent Retreat of listening time of prayer with the Lord\, which will be facilitated by Doug Sprunt of One Way Ministries. We are blessed with an extra day in February in 2024….what will you do with yours? What better way to spend it than on a date with God!
