Cette stratégie est appelée « Une Église – Un Jour ». \nLes églises réservent une journée du mois pour prier pour leurs membres et leur ville. We believe that the Lord is building the Church in Ottawa into a unified\, multicultural people of prayer\, and thus we seek to align ourselves to this beautiful work. \nThe desire to unify in prayer in Ottawa is a growing one. At the April 2024 Capitalize conference\, Steve and Patti Buss from the City of Eugene\, Oregon\, shared their story of how the church in their city of Eugene has united in strategic prayer to positively impact their community. It’s a strategy called “One Church\, One Day” (OCOD). \nChurches take one day per month to pray for their congregation and the city. The Community Prayer Guide for Ottawa\, provided each month\, will also significantly help inform our prayers for our shared communities. \nWe believe the OCOD approach would dovetail beautifully with the growing networks of prayer among pastors and increase the felt sense of that connection at the congregational level. \nWould you come and hear about this work? DESCRIPTION:A Date with God\nTheme: J❤️Y\nSeptember 25\, 2024 – 8:00 am – 3:00 pm \n“You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence\, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”\nPsalm 16:11\n\nDo you have a discipline of purposely setting aside time for solitude and silence with the Lord? To turn off the noise and activities and be alone and still? To listen\, hear\, be refreshed and be renewed? Jesus knew the importance of this and at one point amid a crazy busy period\, he said to his disciples\, “Come away with me. Let us go alone to a quiet place and rest a while…” Mark 6:31 \nDo you long for such rest? Spending an extended time abiding in our Lord’s presence enables us to hear God’s still\, quiet voice. When we are intentional about setting this time aside\, we gain wisdom and experience refreshment\, grace and a release from the burdens that we are carrying. We emerge with a renewed sense of peace and joy that comes from experiencing a sense of togetherness with God. \nThere is never a “convenient” time to be with the Lord. It takes discipline and courage to carve this time out. Jesus was particularly attuned to this need and led His disciples into rhythms of solitude\, community and ministry. Even though many people must be encouraged repeatedly to do this (you know who you are!)\, we can honestly share that we have never spoken to anyone who set this time aside and reported it was a waste of time. In fact\, it is the contrary. \n“…for it is in the silence of the heart that God speaks. DESCRIPTION:Join us for this great morning of golf! Come for 18 holes of golf with a cart\, lunch\, prizes and time to get to know some great people! \nThursday\, September 7th 2023: 7:30 am – 1:30pm\nThe Meadow Golf & Country Club\n\n\nWe will be using the Scramble format to accommodate all levels of golfers from rookies to veterans.\n\nBe sure to invite a pastor or leader who hasn’t joined us before!
