DESCRIPTION:Spending an extended time abiding in God’s presence enables us to hear the still\, quiet voice of God and sense the direction he has for us.\n\nWith summer upon us\, it seems like a perfect time to take a day to lock eyes with God and to hear His voice.\n\n“…for it is in the silence of the heart that God speaks. God is the friend of silence – we need to listen to God because it’s not what we say but what He says to us and through us that matters….” Mother Teresa\n\nSpending an extended time abiding in our Lord’s presence enables us to hear the still\, quiet voice of God. When we are intentional about setting this time aside\, we gain wisdom and experience refreshment\, grace\, and release from burdens that we are carrying. And we emerge with a renewed sense of peace and joy that comes from experiencing a sense of togetherness with God.\n\nThere is never a “convenient” time to be with the Lord. It takes discipline and courage to carve this time out. Block June 15th in your calendar and register now for this virtual Silent Retreat of listening time of prayer with the Lord\, which will be facilitated by Doug Sprunt of One Way Ministries.\n\nPlease note that this is a full-day event and is limited to 24 participants. DESCRIPTION:A lunchtime networking event for Workplace Prayer Group Leaders! \nAre you leading a workplace Christian prayer group\, bible study or support group? \nOr would you like to start one?  \nOne Way Ministries Workplace Network is organizing a lunchtime networking event Tuesday\, Mat 10th bringing together Christian leaders from across Ottawa\, across different workplaces\, across denominations\, and across the public and private sectors. We share experiences\, encourage one another\, and pray for one another. \nWorkplace Prayer Groups are groups who pray together\, do a bible study together and/or share what is happening in their work and seek guidance from a Christian perspective. Members have enough in common\, so they understand each other\, can help each other and pray for one another and their workplace.  \nThere are already several workplace prayer groups in both the private and public sectors operating in Ottawa. One Way Ministries Workplace Network’s heart is to see a multiplication of these groups and be a coordination point for those interested to join or start such a group. \nREGISTER!
